It’s possible to excel both academically and athletically; with good habits, planning, and support.
Plan & schedule deliberately Use calendars (paper or digital) to map out school hours, training, homework, rest, and leisure. Prioritize tasks. Doing this helps avoid stress when tests and big matches overlap.
Set realistic goals & expectations Know your limits. Sometimes you may need to reduce training load during exams, or delay tournaments. Be honest about what’s manageable. EW Motion Therapy
Communication Let teachers know about important matches; let coaches know about big academic deadlines. If you’re transparent, people are more likely to accommodate.
Use downtime wisely Short pockets of time (bus rides, break times) can be used for quick study or revision. Also break big tasks into smaller pieces to make them less overwhelming.
Health, rest & well-being Sleep, nutrition, mental rest are essential. Without rest, performance drops and risk of burnout increases. Make sure rest and recovery are part of the routine.
